WELCOME

OUR MISSION

To unite Glasgow’s community organisations in a powerful cooperative that delivers real change for people and places. GECCo brings together embedded, trusted Development Trusts to deliver high-impact services — especially employability support — through a coordinated, citywide model. We harness local insight, collaborative working, and proven delivery to support individuals into sustainable opportunities, strengthen community-led organisations, and influence policy and investment across the city. Our mission is to unlock resources, amplify community voice, and create long-term, inclusive economic benefit for Glasgow’s people.

  • We work collaboratively across the city to support people into opportunities, strengthen community-led organisations, and influence policy and investment for lasting social and economic benefit.

Vision

A Glasgow where every community thrives — empowered, connected, and equipped to shape its own future. GECCo envisions a city where local voices drive citywide progress, where grassroots expertise guides investment and policy, and where people facing the greatest challenges have access to trusted, place-based support. Together, our cooperative of Development Trusts works to build a fairer, greener, and more resilient Glasgow — one rooted in community wealth, shared opportunity, and collective strength.

  • We believe local voices should shape citywide change, creating fairer opportunities and stronger, more resilient neighbourhoods.

ASHLEY JONES

DEVELOPMENT OFFICER.

“I lead on development, monitoring, compliance and bespoke advisory work, drawing on my love of structure, clarity and practical problem-solving. I’m known for wearing more hats than is probably advisable—and for finding it difficult to say no—so my work often spans a wide range of projects and priorities. A genuine enthusiast for spreadsheets and research, I pair analytical precision with a grounded, people-centred approach. Outside of work, I’m happiest in the company of dogs, hiking a glen or wild swimming.”

  • Join us in building a stronger, fairer Glasgow. Whether you're seeking support, looking to collaborate, or ready to invest in community-led change — partnership helps transform lives and places across the city.
